Poetry and paintings exploring the symbolism of the landscape around us.
Unnoticed by many; a wooded sphere.
A shaded retreat
from urban noise.
Ancient energy imparts atmosphere;
part of a heartbeat
within circular poise.
Gnarled roots reach through dappled earth.
Mottled light seeps,
casting a darkened orb.
Forms shaped in rugged girth;
guard as shadow creeps.
branches joined in a woven ring.
held by a fingered web.
In a reverent swing
branches bow to many futures;
to ending and beginning.
Prompting cycles of cathartic release.
by thirteen standing in a lunar wheel.
Touching lines upon Nature's palm;
in a grove with an air of peace.
Space within which to think or appeal;
weaving wisdom inside a circle of calm.
